Gen 2E electric race car chassis frame in workshop

Not a supplier. A partner at the frontier.

SKF partners with E-PWR, the company that owns the electric regulation for STCC and builds every car that races under it.

The challenge

Know what the next generation of components must do.

As electrification spreads across cars, trucks and machinery, SKF needs to know what next-generation components must do. That takes a real high-performance electric platform, at real speed, under competitive pressure.

What we built

Access to the standard, not just to a car.

Since June 2023, a partnership with a shared engineering agenda. E-PWR licenses its regulation to STCC and is the exclusive builder of the Gen 2E electric race car. SKF gets access to the organisation that sets the technical standard, not to one car or one team.

The Result

A real electric proving ground. Real speed, real pressure, real answers.

A proving ground for new components under real operating conditions.

A long-term commitment to stay ahead of where the industry is going.

“We’re pleased to collaborate with EPWR. Together we can develop products that will benefit the electromobility sector.”
